1. Local communication and recipients
RidgeCall has no account, developer-operated communication server, advertising, analytics or tracking SDK. The developer does not receive your conversations, photos, videos or device identity through the app.
When nearby connections are enabled, your nickname and public device identity are shared with nearby devices for discovery and authentication. Approved members receive community information and the voice, text, photos or silent clips you send. Devices may also relay encrypted traffic for other members.
2. Permissions and choices
The microphone sends intercom audio while you hold to talk; recordings are not saved. The camera is used for media you capture, and the system photo picker supplies only selected items. Local-network access discovers and connects nearby devices. You may turn nearby connections off or revoke permissions in system Settings, affecting the related functions.
3. Storage and deletion
Preferences stay on the device. Identity keys and saved community credentials use Keychain. A local replay-protection database stores packet identifiers to reject repeated traffic. Message history uses a bounded memory cache that can be cleared in Settings. Media preview and preparation may use temporary files, removed after use.
Leaving a community clears its saved credentials. Uninstalling does not guarantee deletion of Keychain device identity. Clearing local history cannot delete copies on other members' devices. System backups, deliberately shared copies and Apple services are managed by the corresponding system or service.
4. Security limits
Communication uses authenticated encrypted links and encrypted community messages. Compare identity codes in person before approval. Recipients can view and copy what you send. Encryption does not prevent a recipient from saving content or guarantee safety after a device is lost or compromised.
5. Support, minors and changes
When you email support, your address and voluntarily provided information are used to handle the request. Do not send conversations, identity keys or community credentials. You may request deletion of support correspondence we control, except legally required records.
The app is not a public content community for children. Guardians should guide minors in choosing recipients. Changes to data handling will be reflected in the app, website policy and store privacy information, with notice and authorization where applicable.
